In my independent art studies, I did several projects exploring my art interests and developing my skills. All of my independent studies were done digitally.  It was a new and exciting medium for me that I never had a chance to explore and experiment with to see what I could create.
Makuta - Shark Rider was inspired from a clay sculpture I made called Palani.  Makuta is a Polynesian warrior who lives in the Pacific and defends his islands from attacks by other neighboring tribes.  He sails into battle riding his trusting tiger shark on a wave ready for whatever comes their way!
Some contour studies of inanimate objects around my work station.
Some contour studies of my hands in different positions.
A vector color study of the Walt Disney and Mickey statue, Partners, at Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World.  The goal of this project was to study color values, separate them, and be able to identify the statue.
Wolf on the Rise was a digital painting inspired by a late night moon I saw outside my window. I wanted to incorporate a howling wolf into the piece standing on top of a cliff looking out onto the moon lit forest below.
